Are you getting into small plot agriculture or ecological agriculture? Have you always wanted to do a farm internship but it didn’t fit into your schedule? Are you building your farming knowledge and want specialized workshops? From DIY learning to training courses to field days to full Farm Immersion programs, Ignatius Farm has options for you to learn with a community of people.

Peterborough Region:

Farms at Work has offered workshops, farm tours, field courses and online resources for new farmers in east central Ontario since 2010. New programming coming in 2024.

Ottawa Region:

Just Food offers both online and hands-on training, including:
Start-up Farm Program with focus on both production and business skills (in English, French, Mandarin, Arabic), Greenhouse Training, Tractor Training.
On site at the Community Farm is also Fermentation Training, Honey Production Training, and training in running a Community Farm.
Just Food also partners on the annual Eco-Farm Day, and provides year-round one-off courses on a variety of topics.
